Romona had a blast with her job, working for
C-I-L Explosives Ltd for 20 years. She started in August
1965 when the construction of the Mactaquac Dam began and retired when
the office closed in 1985. It was a bang-up job!
In her later years, Romona loved doing lunch out with her girlfriends
from high school, reading and never missed an episode her favorite
soap-Days of Our Lives. She also enjoyed her coffee and sour
cream glazed doughnuts and drives with her daughter, long telephone
chats with Steven and face timing with her family in Ontario and
Alberta. Her favourite colour was pink, and she was known to
never go anywhere without putting on lipstick
first.
The family would like to thank Dr. Paula
Carmichael, Dr. Van Middlesworth, the staff at Shannex Thomas Hall,
Father Monte Peters, and Sarah Cameron for their kind and
compassionate care of Romona.
Bishop’s Funeral Home (458-1885) was
entrusted with Romona’s arrangements. Due to current
gathering restrictions, there will be no visitation or service at this
time. A private family burial will be held at a later
date.
For those who wish, memorial contributions in
Romona’s name may be made to Fredericton SPCA, Canadian
Blood Services, or a charity of donor’s
choice.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Romona E Rogers 19322021..
