Obituary of Rollie Haslett
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Roland “Rollie” Haslett announces his passing on Sunday, May 9th, 2021, surrounded by the love of his family. Rollie was born on July 26, 1939, in Moss Glen, NB, and he was the son of the late Roland and Glennie (Smith) Haslett.
During his life, Rollie was a “Jack of all trades” working at Commercial Equipment, inside sales at MIT and Schooner Industrial; he also took great pride in his Daley’s Convenient Store that he and his late wife, Donna ran in Champlain Heights. When Rollie was not working, he could be found attending Sea Dog hockey games and keeping busy with his mechanical and woodworking projects. He loved to spend time at his camp at Perry Point, that he built with the help of his son and daughter in law, making many memories in the process. Most of all, Rollie loved to spend time with his beloved grandchildren taking part in their lives by attending activities with them.
Rollie is survived by his children, Lori (Roger Walker) Haslett of Oyster Bed, PEI; Debbi (Richard) Gray of Kiersteadville, NB; and Michael (Megan) of Berwick, NB; sister, Irene (Haslett); beloved grandchildren: Tony (Kerry), Matt, Kate (Pat), Scott, Bethany, Avery and Aidan; and great-grandson, Jacob; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Rollie was predeceased by his parents, his wife, Donna (McGivery), brothers John and Raymond and sister Dorothy.
