Obituary of Roger J. Leger
LEGER ROGER J. – At the Charlotte County Hospital on Thursday, August 19th, 2021; Roger Joseph Leger, husband of Jeanette (Arseneau) Leger of St. Stephen, NB. Born in Acadie Siding, NB; he is the son of the late Fidele & Marie (Richard) Leger.
Roger worked for over 30 years with Georgia Pacific. He was a longtime member of St. Stephen Catholic Church. Roger loved to hunt, specifically deer or moose, and thoroughly enjoyed fishing trout.
Surviving in addition to his wife Jeannette of 62 years are his son Donald (Cathy), 2 daughters Paulette McMorran (Ray) and Annette Linton (Blair) , all of St. Stephen, NB, 4 grandchildren Dustan McMorran (Angie), Tannis Cook (Jamie), Chris Linton (Jenna) Casey Matheson (Adam) great grandkids Ava, Kade, Thomas, Connor, Leighton Rose, Bennett and Adler, siblings Abel (Leah) of Sainte Marie, Carmel (Sylvain) and Elise (Louis) all of St. Louis, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Roger was predeceased by one grandchild Leah, brothers John, Firmin. Eloi and Marc, sisters Emma, Celina and Jeanne.
By Rogers request cremation will take place.
Mass of christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 25th, 2021 at St. Stephen Catholic Church at 11:00 am. Rev. Fr. Suresh Savariraj as celebrant. The interment will follow in Milltown Catholic Cemetery.
The family will receive friends during a time of visitation on at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 am.
In lieu of flowers donations to the St. Stephen Catholic Church building fund or the Palliative Care Unit of Charlotte County Hospital would be appreciated by the family. On line condolences to the family or donations can be made at www.humphreysfh.com
