Roger Anthony Davies 1949 2021

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Roger Anthony Davies on February 7th 2021. Roger was born in Pontypridd, Wales on October 10th 1949 to the beloved late Emlyn and Vincenza Davies. Roger also was the brother of two sisters Mary Jane Covello (Pat) and Laura Davies in which he leaves behind. The family migrated to Canada in 1952 and made St.Catharines home. Roger attended Lakeport Highschool where he continued his education in construction/engineering and also played his highschool years on the Lakeport football team. Upon graduation, completing four trade certificates, Roger went on to spend 32 dedicated years with the Niagara Health System putting his education to use and later retiring in 2002.
Roger is loved and will greatly be missed by his devoted wife Beth-Martin Davies. Survived by his children Sharon Davies (Desmond), David Davies (Alison) and stepsons Jamie (Jenny), Christopher Martin. Roger was adored and cherished by his grandchildren Brooke Davies (Jason), Patrick Davies (Monique) and Sophia Martin. Roger was also enlightened to learn he was to be a Great-Grandfather in July 2021. Roger was a wonderful man and will be missed by all who knew him.
Due to current COVID-19 restrictions and also to the respects and wishes of the late Roger Davies, a private celebration of life will take place in the spring. The family would like to thank the staff of NHS Oncology for their compassion and care in Roger’s final days. Memorial Donations may be made out to the Cancer Society or the Niagara Lincoln Humane Society in Roger’s honour.
