Obituary of Roderick Bruce Simpson
Roderick Bruce Simpson
Died August 24th, 2021 on the farm near Enniskillen where he spent his entire life. He was 96 years old.
Beloved husband of the late Aleta “Pat” Simpson (nee Kossatz). Dear father of Mark (Jo-Anne) Simpson, Malcolm (Marcia) Simpson, Kelly (John) Morris and Geoff (Peter) Simpson. Loving grandfather of Caitlin, Wesley, Rachel, Greer, Michael and Kevin. Rod is survived by his sister Alice Cendese and predeceased by: Marion, Donald, James, Maude and Betty.
Although Rod worked for 30 years at General Motors in Oshawa, raised 4 children and also cared for nephews and brothers in law, he devoted his spare time to his farm. He was a devout Christian and was generous to many friends and neighbours, he was always ready to give or help.
A special thanks to his niece Andrea, and Darrin, for their loving caregiving to Rod, and also good friend Peter, for helping us all, so that Rod could remain at the farm in his final months.
Please enjoy the Memorial Slideshow of Rod’s Life.
A Private graveside service will be held at Hampton Cemetery at a later date.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Roderick

  3. Rod was one of the most special men we’ve ever known; his devotion to Pat was unbelievably exceptional and loving. He was a wonderful friend to us and he will be most sincerely missed. His gifts of plants will be treasured, and his laugh will be remembered with love. Truly a Good and Faithful Steward of God’s gifts.
