Obituary of Robert William Thompson
Robert William “Bob” Thompson (Retired Belleville Police Force)
Entered into rest at Moira Place in Tweed, on Thursday, November 18th, 2021, at the age of 81. Dear son of the late Harold & Alice Thompson. Loving husband of the late Beverly Linda Thompson (nee Hobson). Dear brother of Donna, Judy (Les), Kristine, and Marylou. Predeceased by siblings, Donald, Richard, George, Shirley, and Gail. Cherished father of Richard Thompson (Pam Andrews), Belleville, Debbie Huycke (Scott), North Bay, Kelly Thompson (Curtis Bingham), Belleville, Michael Thompson, Belleville, and Dan Thompson, Belleville. Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Bob will be missed by his extended family and many friends.
Visitation will be held at Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel, 30 Moira Street West, Belleville (613-968-2273) on Tuesday, November 23rd, 2021, from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Attendance will be scheduled in half-hour segments. The Funeral Service will be private with interment following in Picton at Glenwood Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Adopt-A-Child would be appreciated by the family.
