It is with heavy hearts and much love that we say goodbye to our mother, grandmother and great grandmother Margaret Elizabeth Robertson (nee Mullowney), who passed away June 28, 2021, at the age of 85 years.
Marg is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Ken. She will be forever remembered by her children Michael (Moyra), Deborah (Kim) and Clark. Grandchildren Angella (Jonathan), Adam and Elizabeth (Tim). Great grandchildren Hayden, Quinton, Carter, Pierce and Ivy. Marg, affectionately referred to as “Margie”, was an aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Marg was predeceased by her parents, Gladys and Michael Mullowney and her brother John.
Her unwavering support and unconditional devotion played a key role in contributing to the highly successful career of her husband, Chief Warrant Officer (Retired) Robertson, who served 36 years with the Canadian Armed Forces. In her younger years, Marg was an avid curler and when she could no longer participate in the sport, you could find her glued to the TV cheering on talented teams competing at the Brier. In her late forties, Marg decided to go to school and become a hairdresser graduating in 1984. Nothing gave her greater joy than visiting nursing homes and get the ladies “all dolled up” as she called it. Among many other talents, Marg was an accomplished cook and was notorious for making the most amazing butter tarts.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the wonderful staff at the Fort Saskatchewan Community hospital and Rivercrest Care Centre, for their kindness, support and care shown to Marg during her final days.
Cremation has already taken place. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributing to The Salvation Army or worthy cause of your choice.
