Obituary of Robert Garnet Hoyt
The passing of Robert Garnet Hoyt of Fredericton, NB, husband of the late Gertrude (Gosman) Hoyt, occurred on November 30, 2021 at home. Born on November 19, 1944 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Percy and Sarah (Francis) Hoyt. Bob worked as a brick layer with Jones Masonry. Bob loved sports, especially baseball and hockey. He coached all his kids in ball at one time or another. He was very proud of all his grandkids and loved when they would visit.
Bob is survived by daughter Debra Hoyt of Miramichi, NB; sons Kelvin Hoyt (Andrea Miller) and Lee Hoyt both of Fredericton, NB; brother Phil Hoyt of Toronto, ON; sisters Nancy Claybourn and Shirley Hoyt both of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Jared, Tanisha, Nicholas, Thomas, Peyton, Jaida and Raven; great granddaughter Ella; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his infant son Robert and son Derrick; sisters Cheryl and Betty.
Visitation will be held at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday December 3, 2021 from 6-8 pm. Funeral service will be held at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon Memorial Chapel on Tuesday December 28, 2022 at 1 pm with Rev. Neville Gosman officiating. Interment will take place in the Fredericton Rural Cemetery, at a later date. For those attending the visitation or Funeral Service, masks, proof of vaccination and government issued ID is required. For those who wish, donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
