Roberta “Bette” F.
MacCallum, 86, of Riverview, passed away peacefully at The Moncton
Hospital on Sunday, May 9, 2021.
Born in Oxford, NS, she was the
daughter of the late Otis and Minnie (Stone) Ross.
Bette was retired from Apex Industries
with 37 years’ service and was a member of the Moncton
Wesleyan Church and the Moncton Wesleyan Seniors Group. She enjoyed
cooking (you never left hungry), knitting, especially bonnets and
blankets for the Hospital and mittens for school children and many
summers at Beulah Camp and time spent with her family.
Bette will be sadly missed by her
sons, Kevin (Suzel) and Ross (Nancy); daughter, Kenda Wilcox (Peter);
her precious grandchildren, Kevin (Dawn), Kyle, Scott, Jessa
(Michael), Travis and Josh and several nieces, nephews and extended
family members.
In addition to her parents, she was
predeceased by her husband, Joel A. MacCallum (2009); sister, Mildred
“Jackie” Smith and brothers, Walter “Bud” Ross and
Gary Ross.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home,
1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00
pm. A Service to celebrate and honour Bette’s life will be
held at the Moncton Wesleyan Church Life Centre, St. George Blvd., on
Friday, May 14, 2021 at 11:00 am. COVID-19 restrictions will be in
place and wearing a mask is mandatory. Interment will be in Fair Haven
Memorial Gardens at a later date.
