Robert Richard “Bob” Redden
1942-2021
It is with heavy
hearts the family of Robert Richard “Bob” Redden, age 79,
announces his passing on November 4, 2021 in the Valley Hospice,
Kentville. Born on February 8, 1942 in Kentville, he was a son of the
late Reginald and Freida (Hubley) Redden. Bob loved and worked on the
Railroad (Dominion Atlantic Railway) in Kentville and was also a
plumber/pipefitter in Kentville for many years. He was predeceased by
his wife, Joan Ann Redden. He is survived by his sons, Danny (Tammy),
James (Selena) and Michael (Ella); grandchildren, Katelynn, Matthew,
Ben, Evan, Michael Jr. and Cree Summer. Bob is also survived by his
loving sister, Elizabeth “Betty” Dechman. His quick
wit, smile, charm, and the twinkle in his eye will be missed by many.
Bob loved to hunt, fish, and play softball with the guys. He loved
teasing the neighborhood kids and nicknamed them
all. Cremation has taken place and Bob will be laid to rest
in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. A graveside service for family
and friends will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 10,
2021. In accordance with the Nova Scotia Proof of Full Vaccination
Policy, proof of full vaccination will be required to attend
visitations, services and receptions held in or by the White Family
Funeral Home. Donations in memory may be made to Valley
Hospice Foundation. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the
White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
Kentville.
