Robert Pearce 1939 2021

Robert Pearce
1939 – 2021
Mr. Thomas Robert Pearce, beloved husband of the late Nellie Pearce, passed away at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at the age of 81 years. Left to cherish Robert’s memory are his sons, Gary (Linda) and Jerry; daughter, Sandy; grandchildren, Daniel, Mathew (Elsie), Meghan, Quinton and Travis as well as his great-grandchildren, Brooklyn and Weston. Robert was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Ellen as well as his siblings, Brian, Kay, Mary, Don, Norman and Billy. Through the years, Robert had several places of employment including the Calgary University maintenance department, the Calgary Stampede, Hostess Potato Chips as well as owning his own moving company. He was a practical joker with his children and grandchildren and loved joking about the weather and traveling. Robert enjoyed fishing on the weekends, camping, watching horse racing, dogs and playing golf. Some of his most memorable occasions included summer vacations with family, spending Christmas together as well as having poutine after a round of golf. Cheering for the Toronto Blue Jays as well as watching a Calgary Flames game on TV were also ways Robert liked to spend his time. Robert was a very caring man who always looked out for the best interest of those he loved… he will be missed! Due to COVID – 19 restrictions, the Graveside Celebration will be by invitation only. The Graveside Celebration of Robert’s life will be held at Hillside Cemetery on Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. with Murray Jaster officiating. Those invited to attend should gather at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel on Tuesday between 1:40 p.m. and 1:50 p.m. to join the procession to Graveside.
