Passed peacefully at Spencer House in Orillia surrounded by family on Thursday August 5, 2021 in his 95th year. Robert, loving husband of the late Joyce (Ross), will be sadly missed by his children Brian (Diane), Shirley (Don) Partridge, Donna (Ray) Klein Gebbinck, and Gail (Ted Bannon) Strachan. Robert will be cherished by his grandchildren Lyndsay, Jamie (Sean), Keith (Kendra), Brett (Amber), Brooke, Trevor (Lindsay), Mara, and Mitchell, and by his great grandchildren Garrett, Quinten, Kolten, Kipten, Ellis and Bryson. Robert will be lovingly remembered by his brothers Murray (June) Strachan, Lloyd (Ulrike) Strachan and Stuart (the late Joan) Strachan and his sister-in-law Barbara Ross (the late Tom). Robert is predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law Evelyn & Ross Andrews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Elda and Wallace Gough, Marion and Bev Gough, Flora and Stan Hull and by his sister-in-law Carol Beaver. Robert will be remembered by many nieces and nephews. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia, (705) 326-3595 on Tuesday August 10, 2021 from 11 A.M. – 1 P.M. A graveside service will follow at Knox Cemetery, 1604 Line 9 North, Oro-Medonte beginning at 2 P.M., everyone welcome. Face masks and social distancing are required at both the visitation and the graveside service. If desired memorial donations may be made to Knox Cemetery, Oro-Medonte or the charity of your choice.
