Robert Gord “Gordie Richardson April 22nd 1958 June 16th 2021

It is with deeply saddened hearts that the family of Gord Richardson announces his sudden passing on Wednesday June 16, 2021, at LHSC-University Hospital, at the age of 63. Beloved husband of 30 years and best friend of Christine Richardson. Treasured father of Shannon Richardson, Ryanne (Nathan) Miller, and his beloved grandson Matthew Miller. Cherished son of Arlene and the late Robert Richardson. Loving brother of Brenda (Mike) Regnier. Dear uncle to Michael and Kaiden Kayhan.
Gord was a loving family man and found joy in being a devoted husband, father and grandpa. He was born and raised in Sarnia. He was a proud pipefitter retiree of Polysar, Bayer, Lanxess after 38 years of service. He loved to golf and was a dedicated Leafs and Lions fan.
Gord was known as “The heart of the family and the heart of the cul-de-sac”. He touched the lives of everyone he met. It didn’t matter who you were, he always had a way of making you feel special. Gord will be deeply missed by friends and family.
Cremation has taken place. In keeping with Gord’s wishes, no service will be held. A memorial tree will be planted in Gord’s memory at Lakeview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, sympathy may be expressed through donations to New Beginnings ABI+ Stroke Recovery Association, Point Edward Ex-Service Men’s Association, or the Sarnia & District Humane Society (cheques mailed to the funeral home or made online, please). Arrangements entrusted to SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Robert Gord “Gordie Richardson April 22nd 1958 June 16th 2021..
