Passed away peacefully at Columbia Forest Long Term Care, Waterloo on Thursday, November 11, 2021, in his 87th year.
Bob was born in Kitchener to Lillian (nee Busch) and Matthew Schummer on May 3, 1934. He grew up in St. Clements and moved to Waterloo after his father passed away. He worked at Canada Post for 35 years and was remembered by his regular customers long after he retired. He volunteered his time to different organizations and was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus #5135.
Bob is lovingly remembered by his son, Brian, daughter Pamela, former wife Elke and granddaughter Leah. He was very proud of his family and loved nothing more than spending time with them. He is preceded in death by his sister Jean.
To attend the visitation and Funeral Mass for Bob, personal face coverings are required and relatives and friends must register (RSVP) at www.erbgood.com or by calling the funeral home at 519-745-8445. Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Saturday, December 4, 2021 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Parish prayers will be offered at the funeral home on Saturday evening at 8:45 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Louis RC Church, 53 Allen St. E., Waterloo on Monday, December 6, 2021 at 11 a.m., with Rev. Phil Reilly, C.R. as Celebrant. Interment to follow at St. Clement RC Cemetery.
