Poirier – Rita of Espanola (April 29 1953-April 15, 2021). After a long battle with ALS, Rita has passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Dear Daughter of the late Remie & Marie Jeanne (nee Delisle) Paradis. Beloved wife to Andre Poirier. Loving mother to Chantal (Chad) of Espanola, Andre of Fort McMurray, and Melanie of Espanola. Cherished by her grandchildren Shawn (Stacey), Joelle, and Thomas. Great Grandmother to Stephanie, Anthony, Aria, and Izzy. Beloved sister to Marie Roy (Paul) from Cambridge, Rose Landry (late Andre), Albert Paradis (late Therese), Eva Paradis, Late Cecile Auge ( Frank) , May Mirault (Noel), Jeannette Rodrigue (Benoit), Pierre Paradis (Phyllis), and Pierrette Mckechnie (Allan) all of Espanola. Will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. We would like to thank all of the doctors that Rita has seen, as well as all of the Bayshore workers that have been with us these past few years. Visitation will be on April 8, 2021 at the Bourcier Funeral Home from 7-9 PM. Funeral Service in the Bourcier Funeral Home on April 9, 2021 at 11 AM with interment to follow in the Espanola Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to the ALS society of Canada. Arrangements by BOURCIER FUNERAL HOME Ltd, Espanola.
