RICKY ALEXANDER MURRAY
1969-2021
With profound sadness we announce the sudden passing of Ricky at home on July 14, 2021 surrounded by loved ones. Beloved spouse of Tracy Nicholas. Dear father of Dylan (Keely) and Tyler, stepfather to Nick and Ivy. Loving son of Penelope (Chuck) and Gordon. Beloved brother of John and Greg (Beulah).
Rick was a people person who had a witty and optimistic personality, he had an infectious smile. He could enjoy a good joke and at the same time he was also a compassionate, patient and understanding person. He was a go-getter and sometimes when getting into a project it was like slowing down a race horse.
Rick took a lot of pride in his home and family and whenever he could spend time with the boys. Enjoying backyard projects, having barbecues and listening to music on the deck with the family was one of his favorite things to do. Rick loved to be on the water enjoying years of sailing and kayaking. He loved baseball and coached his boys for years.
Family was of most importance, his love for his boys, his mother and father and brothers was immeasurable. He was a wonderful friend to many and he was a loving and kind partner.
Ricks legacy is one of love and passion and family, respect and compassion for others. Qualities that still exist here in his boys.
Although he is no longer with us, the effects of who he was will go on in each and every one of us in our memories forever.
He is so lovingly missed.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of choice.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
