Obituary of Richard L. Cooper
Richard L. Cooper age 79 of Bath, NY formerly of Elmira, NY passed away of home on Monday June 7, 2021. Richard was born September 24, 1941 in Elmira, NY the son of the late Harry and Dorothy May Cooper. He married his wife, Lois E. Dillinger Cooper , and she pre-deceased him on September 22, 2005. Richard was also pre-deceased by his sister Arlene Wingate and grandson Christian King. . He was a retired taxi cab driver for Totem Taxi in Elmira, NY. He enjoyed Native American and Colonial History and for years he participated in Colonial Re-Creations. Richard also enjoyed woodworking, painting, and making authentic Native American/ Colonial wear and tools and weaponry. Richard is survived by his children: Robbie & Jennifer Cooper of Clarion, PA , Ricky Cooper of Florida, Gary Cooper and Bonnie Smith of Elmira, NY ; sister & brother-in-law: Deborah & Mike Thomas of Florida ; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, step children and extended family members. Arrangements are entrusted to the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS, NY. Richard will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Elmira, NY on his birthday September 24, 2021.
