Richard “Dick” Ainsworth
Peacefully at Bluewater Health in his 85th year Richard (Dick) Ainsworth of Point Edward, passed away peacefully with family at his side November 23, 2021. Dick was the son of the late Helen and Bert Ainsworth of Sarnia. He was also predeceased by his wife Cathy (Lowe) Ainsworth, his sister Gail, brothers Ronald and Robert. Dick is survived by his sons Greg, Dave (Elaine), Steve (Pam) and daughter Kelsey Ainsworth, his grandchildren Brandy (Vic), Ainsley (Randy), Kaitlin, Rachel (Jesse), his brother Larry of Petrolia and sister in law Anna of Chatham. Many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive. Dick was a proud member of the Boilermakers, Local #128 Ontario and the Point Edward Ex-Serviceman’s Club where he served as a past president. After his retirement Dick spent many years helping out at Bolger Lodge near Parry Sound where he loved to be and spend time with good friends and family at his piece of Heaven on Earth. Private cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 102 N. Victoria St, Sarnia, ON, N7T 5W9. Charitable donations be made in Dick’s memory to the Canadian Lung Association would be appreciated by the family. A celebration of Dick’s life will be announced by his family at a later date.
