Brisson, Richard “JR” (1948 – 2021)
After a courageous battle with cancer, Sunday March 14th, 2021 at the age of 73 years old, with sorrow, the family announces his death at his home in Sturgeon Falls surrounded by his immediate family. JR was an avid big game hunter and cherished his time travelling abroad and camping with his wife, family, friends and especially his special grandchildren. He was also a very proud retired member of Iron Workers Local 786. After retiring, he was employed for 14 years as Security for Au Chateau, Home for the aged of West Nipissing. Son of the late Armand and of the late Rita (nee Brunet) Brisson. Beloved husband of Denise (née Lamontagne). Loving father of Daniel (France) and Michelle Gagné (Craig). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Tehya Restoule, Fabian Brisson, Justin Gagné, and Joel Gagne. Dear brother of Catherine Brisson, Raymond Brisson (Claudette), Yvon Brisson (Jeanette), Lorraine Labranche (Michel), Denis Brisson (Rachelle), Jacqueline Lafleur (Royal), Diane Gervais (Rene), and Gerald Brisson (late Claudette).
He also leaves behind his mother-in-law Germaine Lamontagne, sisters-in-law Stella Laforge (Pierre) and Gaetane Carrier (Frank), brother-in-law Guy Lamontagne, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. Due to Covid, a celebration of life will be held for family and friends at St Charles Cemetary August 28th, 2021 at 1:00pm which would have marked JR and Denise’s 50th Wedding Anniversary.

Lui survivent également sa belle-mère Germaine Lamontagne, ses belle-sœurs Stella Laforge (Pierre) et Gaetane Carrier (Frank), son beau-frère Guy Lamontagne et plusieurs nièces, neuveux, cousins et bons amis. Frère de Catherine Brisson, Raymond Brisson (Claudette), Yvon Brisson (Jeanette), Lorraine Labranche (Michel), Denis Brisson (Rachelle), Jacqueline Lafleur (Royal), Diane Gervais (Rene) et Gerald Brisson (feu Claudette). Une célébration de la vie aura lieu à une date ultérieure.
