Wallis, Rhoda (Saward)
Rhoda Wallis, just shy of her 90th birthday, passed away peacefully, at Mount Hope Long Term Care on May 16th, 2021. Born in Maidstone, Kent county, England on May 29, 1931 to Frances and Owen Saward, the family emigrated to London, Ontario after the war. Predeceased by sister Gillian and spouse, James Flood. Beloved wife of John Wallis, who predeceased Rhoda in 1994. Partner to Earl Taylor. Loving mother to Lynda, Wayne (Anne), Alan, Doreen (Gord) and Doug. She will be missed by her many grandchildren. She enjoyed travel, gardening, southern beaches, BBQ’s, baking, bowling, ball room dancing competitions and spending time with her family. She worked as a registered nurse for St. Joseph’s hospital and later for OHIP. Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery with a private service for family. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Rhoda are asked to consider the Alzheimer’s Society.
