Stanhope, Rev. Stanley “Stan” Arthur – Passed away peacefully at Maples Home for Seniors, Tavistock, on Tuesday, December 7th, 2021, in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Norma (née Cameron) for nearly 50 years. Cherished father of Shawn Stanhope and Heather (Anthony) Jones. Proud grandfather of Connor Jones. Dear brother-in-law of Bill Alexander. Treasured uncle of Sheri (Paul), Scott (Heather), Brenda and their families. Predeceased by his sister-in-law Donna Alexander and his nephew Jamie Alexander. Stan was ordained a minister in 1973. Over the years, Stan served at 5 pastoral charges in Saskatchewan and Southwestern Ontario until he retired in 2007. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family on Tuesday, December 14th from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock. Following the visitation, the funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:15 AM. Proof of vaccination is required as well as an RSVP through the funeral home website, to allow the family to accommodate the number of expected attendees. If desired, memorial contributions to St. David’s United Church or Maples Home for Seniors (Nursing Home), would be appreciated.
