Obituary of Reona Rogers
ROGERS, Reona passed peacefully early Monday, September 6, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Health Care Centre, Guelph. Reona Rogers (nee Godin) of Ennotville in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Albert Rogers (2003). Cherished mother of Kathy Broeckel (Dave) of Mar, Reona Goetz (Kevin) of Elora, Joy Campbell (John) of Grand Island, New York, Rick (Cindy) of Ennotville, Judy Piercy of Orillia, Tom (Pat) of Fergus, Steve (Brenda) of Wiarton and Mike of Fergus. Much loved grandmother of 17 as well as many great and great great grandchildren. Missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Charles, Joseph, Anthony and Bob and sisters Anita Jones, Cecile Sibbald and Maxine Godin.
Reona was a long standing parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fergus, and enjoyed singing in the Church choir. She loved bird watching, her prolific flower gardens, and baking delicious desserts. She cherished her large family and they cherished her.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at Heritage River in Elora, and the St. Joseph’s Health Care Centre, Guelph for their kindness, care and compassion over the past few months.
A private family Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Fergus. Interment St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Elora. Arrangements entrusted to the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton. Expressions of remembrance to St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Fergus or St. Joseph’s Health Care Centre, Guelph would be appreciated.
