Obituary of René Verrier
With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of René Fernand Verrier on Saturday, November 21, 2021 in Winnipeg, MB.
He left us at the age of 83 years (born July 3, 1938).
He is survived and will be greatly missed by his son; Louis (Lori), his three daughters; Annette Jr. (Murray Gauthier), Lucille, Lorraine (Dan Saltel); his eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife Annette Verrier (nee Bourgouin), his parents Jacob Verrier and Jeanne (Laurin), his brother Henry, his sister Laurette, his brothers-in-law Roger, Philias, and Andy.
René will be deeply missed by his brothers Allard (Helene), Marcel (Monique); his sisters Cathy (Roz), Jeanne, Marie-Ange (Paul), Adele (Martin), sister-in-law Lise, along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
René had a long career as a mechanic, he owned his own business (Rene’s Esso Service in Richer). He loved working on cars, trucks, busses, and tractors. René had an immense passion for his horses, he loved to ride and give his children and grandchildren sleigh rides. He also loved his old cars and trucks especially the last truck he restored, his 1959 Dodge, which was decorated with chrome and lights.
He also enjoyed spending time with his family, he always had many great jokes and stories to tell about life and his many adventures.
Above all he loved and cherished his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were his world! René wanted nothing more for them than to have a wonderful and loving life.
René was so loved; he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
A private family ash interment will be held at a later date.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Rene
