René Baertschi, born in Zürich, Switzerland on the 17th of April 1953, passed away peacefully at home on September 9th 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer.
René Baertschi, né à Zürich en Suisse le 17 avril 1953, est décédé paisiblement à son domicile le 9 septembre 2021 après un courageux combat contre le cancer.
In 1988, René, fell in love with the town of Venise-en-Québec located on the shores of lake Champlain. With his wife Christa, he had a loving family and lived there till the day he took his last breath.
En 1988, René est tombé en amour avec la municipalité de Venise-en-Québec située sur les rives du lac Champlain. Avec son épouse Christa, il a fondé une famille et y a vécu jusqu’au jour où il a rendu son dernier souffle.
In addition to his wife Christa, he is survived by his daughter Samantha, his son René Jr., his brothers Reto (Gabriella) and Roger, his sister Sandra (Rosario), his nieces and nephews as well as many friends, clients, collaborators and family members in Switzerland and Austria.
En plus de son épouse Christa, il laisse dans le deuil sa fille Samantha, son fils René Jr., ses frères Roger et Reto (Gabriella), sa sœur Sandra (Rosario), ses nièces et neveux ainsi que de nombreux amis, clients, collaborateurs et membres de sa famille en Suisse et en Autriche.
The family would like to thank the Camping Kirkland family for the touching tribute René received during the last weeks of his life. They also thank all the friends that comforted him during his last months as well as the supportive palliative care team of CLSC Vallée-des-Forts (Dr. Turenne, Charles, Amélie, Jocelyne) and the dedicated healthcare team at the BMP Hospital of Cowansville.
Les proches tiennent à remercier la grande famille du Camping Kirkland pour l’hommage touchant rendu à René au cours des dernières semaines de sa vie. Ils remercient également tous les amis qui l’ont réconforté durant ses derniers mois ainsi que l’équipe de soins palliatifs du CLSC Vallée-des-Forts (Dr Turenne, Charles, Amélie, Jocelyne) et l’équipe de soins dévoués de l’Hôpital BMP de Cowansville.
