Reid-Brown Annie Nee Kelly 2021

REID-BROWN, Annie (née Kelly)
1926 – 2021
Annie passed away on Monday, March 15, 2021 at the age of 94. She is survived by her daughters Donna (Michel), Susan (Peter), and Joanne (John); and four cherished granddaughters Melanie, Meghan, Danielle, and Alexa.
Annie was predeceased by her parents, Warren and Susie Kelly, her husbands, Gordon (Gordie) Reid, William (Bill) Jones and Robert (Bob) Brown, and her siblings Mary, Percy, Ada, Fred, Jack and Margaret.
Born on Keswick Ridge just outside of Fredericton, NB, Annie was the youngest of a large and very close-knit family. She eventually moved to Montréal where she met and married Gordie and raised their three daughters.
After Gordie’s passing at an early age, Annie retired from her work at McGill University’s Gault Nature Reserve in Mont-Saint-Hilaire. She moved to Pointe-Claire soon thereafter and became involved in square dancing. She was also a member of the United Church Women (UCW) and the Valois United Church.
In Annie’s later years she found a new home at the Wellesley Residence where she met new friends. Annie’s apartment was also the center of many happy family gatherings.
The family wants to express their gratitude to the wonderful nurses and staff at the Wellesley, and to Annie’s dedicated and loving caregivers, Donna Walsh and Kathy Anderson.
Annie’s kindness and compassion will be forever missed, not only by her family but by all those who knew her.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to McGill University’s Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Department of Ophthalmology for Research in Macular Degeneration or to McGill’s Research Centre for the Study of Aging. www.giving.mcgill.ca
