We regret to announce the passing of Reginald “Jim” Assoun, of Sydney on Saturday August 7, 2021, at his residence.
Born in Sydney on November 20,1943, he was the son of the late Reginald and Helen (O’Day) Assoun.
Jim is survived by his four Children, Kathy McNeil (Hamilton), Jim (Denice) Assoun (Fort Erie),Peter Assoun (Hamilton) and Tracy Assoun (Daron) (Hamilton). Also stepchildren, Frank (Janice) Aucoin, Darlene Humby, Rick Aucoin, and Kathy Ryan (Troy). sister Kim Assoun Ivany , brothers Ken Assoun, Kevin Assoun (Brenda), Glen Assoun. Jim also has thirteen grandchildren, he was very proud of.
He was predeceased by the love of his life, Sylvia (Aucoin) Brothers David, Ron, Lewis, and John Assoun.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Sydney Memorial Chapel. A private family service will take place in Sydney Memorial Chapel, with Mr. Gary Grant officiating. Interment in Immaculate Conception Parish Cemetery, Main a Dieu. The public can view the service on the Sydney Memorial Chapel facebook page at 1 pm Wednesday August 11, 2021.
