Obituary of Raymond Reid
Celebration of Life and a Memorial Service for Raymond Reid of Humber Village, NL
Raymond passed peacefully at South Huron Hospital, Exeter ON on July 19, 2020 at the age of 76. Beloved husband of Loretta (Noseworthy) Reid. Adored father of Barbara Reid and Graeme Chisholm, Rob and Michelle Reid, Kim and Jim Oakley, and Ken and Suzanne Reid. Adored “pop” of Natalie; Meghan and Justin; Matthew and Gregory; Isabelle and Madeline and great-grandfather to many grand-children. Beloved son of Olive Reid, Brother and brother-in-law of Wilson and Linda Reid, Lorraine Pardy and Ralph Rice, and Doreen and Randy King. Predeceased by his father Llewelyn Reid and granddaughter Katrina Galarnyk.
Raymond was an avid fisher and hunter who loved his music and woodworking. Through out his life he worked as a firefighter in Corner Brook and enjoyed spending his winters in Arizona with Loretta. He lived his life devoted to family, friends, and good times.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Oct 2, 2021 at the Westmount Club, 10 Herald Ave, in Corner Brook from 2 to 4pm. As well, a Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, Oct 3rd, 2021 at 2 pm at the Mount Patricia Cemetery, Corner Brook, NL.
Donations to Muscular Dystrophy Canada, Ronald McDonald House of Southwestern Ontario, or the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
