Raymond Rylott Thursday January 28th 2021

Ray was born and raised on the Family farm 7th line Otonabee township with his 6 brothers and 1 sister. Life on the Farm had many challenges (milking cows twice daily, raising pigs and hens, and harvesting crops.
The Farm was eventually sold and they moved into a house in Peterborough. Soon after Ray met his wife Isabell and they were married for 65 happy years.
Ray’s love of music and fiddle playing has always been an important part of his family life. This brought him great joy to share this music with his immediate family, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren over many years. His memories will continue on for the next generation.
Ray obtained a steady job at DeLaval, and eventually became General Foreman and Plant Supervisor. After 36 years, he retired and began his own business…consulting and fabricating for dairy, brewery, marine and restaurant businesses.
Ray and wife Isabell, enjoyed taking the family on several camping trips. However, soon they decided that a lakefront cottage would provide the family with many seasons of activities (boating, waterskiing, fishing, snowmobiling etc.). Ray, the ultimate handyman in most any task, took great pride in building on a new addition to the cottage and many other improvements. His handyman reputation soon spread to the local cottage neighbours, who would often ask Ray for advise on their projects as well.
After retirement, Ray and Isabell enjoyed travelling to Arizona and Florida, as well as taking several cruises.
He will be fondly remembered as the loving husband of Isabell for over 65 years. Beloved dad of Brian (Carolyn) and Brad (Jill). Cherished gramps of Curtis, Adam, Deanna and great gramps of Benjamin, Amelia and Edward. Predeceased by his 5 brothers Harold (Ethyl), Earl( Marg), Stan(Bev), Keith(Noreen), Gerry(Toots), and 1 sister Jean(John). Survived by brother Ken (Audrey). He also will be remembered by his many nieces, nephews, and their families whom he took great pride and joy.
