Raymond Ray Bolt 2021

Raymond “Ray” Bolt, of Hanover, passed away unexpectedly, yet peacefully, at Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at the age of 89.
Ray was born in Turnberry Township in Ontario on October 14, 1932 to the late William and Hilda (nee Abraham) Bolt. Ray had a heart of gold and was dedicated to everything he took on. He enjoyed being a part of the Walkerton Lions Club for over 40 years. Ray was charming and always brought a smile to those around him.
Sadly missed by his devoted wife Inga (nee Mogensen) Bolt of Hanover. Loved father of Brian (Lynda Spicher – deceased) Bolt of Newmarket, and their daughter Jennifer Bolt (Jordan Aelick) of Toronto. David Bolt (deceased). Father in law of Larry Hughes (Brenda Bolt- deceased) of Hanover along with their children Colin Hughes (Katlynn MacKinnon) of Hanover and Andrew Hughes (fiance Jodie Bates) of England, UK. Gary Bolt (Morna Tudor) of Victoria, BC. Ray was the best grandpa to his grandchildren and they will miss his stories, jokes and time spent together especially as they grew into adults. He was more than a grandpa, but a confidant, contemporary and more importantly, a friend.
An event to mark Ray’s life has taken place at St. Matthew’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Hanover with Rev. John Polacok officiating. Following Ray’s wishes, cremation has taken place along with a family Inurnment at Hanover Cemetery – Columbarium.
Memorial donations to the Diabetes Association or the Charity of ones’ choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.mightonfuneralhome.ca
