It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Raymond Joanette; age 69 years, at the Glengarry Memorial Hospital, Tuesday, October 19, 2021. Beloved husband of Monique Joanette (née Poirier). Loving father of Richard (Jill) of Winnipeg and Julie of Smiths Falls. Step-dad to Daniel, Yves (Christine), Michel and Lyne (Sylvain). Cherished grandfather of Samuel, Norah-Rae, Keirston, Mathieu and Madison. Pépère to Eric, Meagan (Guyslain), Dawson, Calum, Jeremy, Noa, Julien, Tania, Taylor, Brandon, Becca (Alex), Gabriel and 6 great-grandchildren Dear brother of Yves (Blanche), Pauline (Marcel), Murielle (André), Vivianne (Adrien), Denis (Elena & late Pamela), Nicole (Brent), Luc (Joanne) and Carole (Gaetan). Predeceased by his parents Lucien and Pearl Joanette (née Labelle) and brothers Robert (Cecile), Richard, and Bruno (Fernande). He will be sadly missed by many brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may attend a visitation at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main Street South, Alexandria, ON (613-525-2772) on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 from 845 – 1015 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St Finnan’s Basilica at 10:30 am. Inurnment following Mass in the St Raphael’s parish columbarium. Masks and physical distancing required at all gatherings. As expressions of sympathy, Memorial Donations to C.H.E.O. would be greatly appreciated by the family.
