Ray was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was always quiet, composed and patient. His unwavering faith to the church and his community demonstrated his strength and compassion as he was known to be the rock that held his family together. Ray was exemplary for his strong work ethic and determination to be the best version of himself for his family, a quality he left instilled in his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was a “jack of all trades”, started working as a logger at a young age, excelled as a mechanic as well as a carpenter. The last 8 years before he retired he was known on New World Island as the “garbage man”.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Norte Dame Bay Memorial Health Centre, Twillingate, NL. Donations in his memory may be given to the Care & Compassion Fund, New World Island East Central United Church.
