Raymond Clifford
Rafuse
Age 76, passed away
peacefully on September 3rd, 2021, at
South Shore Regional Hospital in
Bridgewater. Born
December
15, 1944, in
Bridgewater, Nova Scotia he was the eldest son of the late Clifford
and Phyllis Rafuse of Bridgewater.
Raymond
started his career as a welder at Lunenburg Foundry and finished there
38 years later. Raymond loved to fish, hunt and enjoyed carpentry. He
was a past member of the Lahave River Salmon
Association and a
member of the
Maritime OxPulling
Association in his younger
years. He
helped build both his daughter and
son’s houses.
He was an animal lover and always had a dog by his side. Molly being
his last canine companion. Most of all he loved his grandchildren,
who always
put a smile on his face.
Raymond is
survived by his loving wife
Linda Rafuse,
son Scott Rafuse (Julie) Barss Corner, daughter Dawn Seamone (Darren)
Wentzell Lake. Sisters Elaine Zinck
(Merle) Lower Northfield, Kathy
Guest (Russell)
Upper Northfield and
brother Jack Rafuse (Marena) Lunenburg.
Grandchildren Ally Seamone, Lauren Seamone, Josie Rafuse, Isaac
Rafuse, Quinn
Rafuse and many nieces,
and nephews. He
was predeceased by parents Clifford Rafuse and Phyllis Rafuse (Conrad)
and sister Rita Sutton (Rafuse).
Funeral
arrangements are under the care and direction
of R.A Corkum Funeral
Home in Wileville.
A public graveside
service will be held at 1:00
pm Wednesday September
8, 2021
at the Maple
Grove Cemetery in West
Northfield, with Rev.
Catherine Robar officiating. There
will be no visitation by
request.
A special
thanks goes to Dr. Robertson for her care and compassion. Thanks
to all
of the nurses in the emergency
department and surgery floor for their care and kindness in his final
days.
