Randell Russell

It’s with heavy hearts and profound sadness that the family of Randell Russell announce his passing on Friday, February 5th, 2021, at the Health Sciences Center in St. John’s. Randell (Russ) Russell; a dear brother, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, well respected in the Community of Flatrock, passed peacefully away at the age of 88. Born in Charleston, West Virginia, USA, he proudly led a distinguished Military career with The United States Air Force for 20 years. Following his retirement from the Military he eventually settled in Flatrock, Newfoundland.
He is predeceased by loving wife Mary (née Grace), Mother Veaulia, Brothers Marvin, and Robert. Leaving to mourn his sister, Sandra, Florida,USA, children; Michael (Barbara) Ohio, USA, Bobbi, Ohio, USA, Mark (Cynthia), grandchildren; Eric, Becca, Samantha, Jessica, Kristen, and Taylor, and beloved extended family. Special nephew, Anthony Grace (Lesley, deceased). Dear friends Pauline and Alicia Martin, Steve Jobson, his neighbors Liz and Bett, and his Tim Horton’s Coffee buddies. The family would like to extend particular thanks to Dr. F Acevedo at Cabot Medical Clinic and the staff in 4 North B for their professionalism and compassion during this trying time.
Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home in Torbay from 2 p.m. – 7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 17th, 2021. Funeral to be held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Flatrock, Friday, February 19th, 2021 at 10 a.m. All COVID-19 restrictions will be upheld. Flowers or, in lieu, donations to the Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto in Flatrock.
