Obituary
PEDDLE, RALPH. Passed away at Mount Pearl, NL, on August 3rd, 2020 in his 99th year. Predeceased by his wife, Ellen Jean in 2001, and infant daughter, Kathryn, and son Geoffrey, he leaves to mourn his Son Gerald (Elsie); Daughter Sandra; Son Leslie (Bernice); daughter-in-law Kathy. Also, his Grandchildren; Heather, Keith, Shawn, Christopher, Kathryn, Angela, Adam and Benjamin. Also, his Great-Grandchildren Katie, Taylor, Colton, Finn, Bridget, Farley, Alistair, Elliot and Leo. Ralph was a keen family man and a faithful member of Church and Community, serving in various roles with honesty and integrity. He worked as a proud Station Agent with the Railway for 44 years in the following places: Grand Falls, Millertown Junction, Alexander Bay, St. Andrew’s, Trinity, Lethbridge and Whitbourne. Even in his senior years he volunteered with the Railway Museum in St. John’s, often demonstrating the “art” of telegraphy to young school students. Ralph’s family is deeply appreciative of the dignified and professional care provided by the staff of Hillcrest Estates in Mount Pearl. and The Eastern Health Paramedic Palliative Care Team we are also most grateful to Geoffrey and Kathy, who, due to Covid restrictions, filled in wonderfully and compassionately for the other children who lived out of Province. There will be a memorial service at The Parish of the Ascension on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place and Ralph will lie next to his wife, Jean, in The Field of Honour, at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, St. John’s, NL. Memorial donations may be made to The Diocesan Mission Fund, The Anglican Diocese of Eastern Newfoundland and Labrador, 19 King’s Bridge Rd, St. John’s NL A1C 3K4.
