Rae Cecil Killam
Rae C. Killam, 91, of Lakeview
Manor, Riverview, and formerly of Moncton, passed away peacefully at
his residence on Sunday, January 31, 2021. Born in Lewisville, he was
the son of the late Walter and Bernice (Berry)
Killam.
Rae was a member of The
Salvation Army Citadel Moncton, where he volunteered in various
capacities over the years. In his early years, he enjoyed hunting,
loved nature, outdoor sports, bowling, which he did on several teams
over the years, spending time at the trailer in Cambridge Narrows, and
puzzles and games.
He will be sadly missed by his
daughter, Linda MacKenzie; grandchildren, Ryan MacKenzie (Michelle)
and Amanda Parson (Jason); brother, Gordon Killam (Betty); as well as
several nieces, nephews and extended family
members.
In addition to his parents, Rae
was predeceased by his wife, Doris Killam (2008); son-in-law, Ralph
“Ducker” MacKenzie; as well as his brothers, Ivan, Beryl,
Russell and Delbert.
In keeping with Rae’s
wishes there will be no visitation. A private service will be held at
The Salvation Army Citadel when restrictions are lifted. In the
meantime, Rae will be laid to rest next to his beloved Doris in the
Niche at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657
Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) have been entrusted with
arrangements.
In memory of Rae, donations to
the memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
