Died peacefully on Saturday February 6, 2021 at the General & Marine Hospital, Collingwood in his 92nd year. Len of Stayner, formerly of Bramalea, beloved husband of the late Kay (nee Stinson) for over 56 years (2009). Loving father of Rick (Marilyn) of Goderich and Beth (Barrie Oakes) of Creemore. Cherished grandfather of Todd Foster, Dana Oakes, Scott (Kate) Foster, Carley Ann Oakes (Pete) and Jon Oakes and great grandfather of Jonah, Raiden, William, Mia, Stella, Kaelyn, Trypheana and Jack. Dear brother-in-law of Raymond (Barbara) Stinson of Miramichi, New Brunswick and the late George (Doris) Stinson of Montreal, Quebec. Len will also be missed by his nieces and nephews and his friends. He worked at Nortel for 43 years and was very proud of his 35 years of perfect attendance. An avid sports fan, he was a referee in his early years and always a long time loyal fan of the Montreal Canadians and Green Bay Packers. His family wish to thank the staff and residents of Blue Mountain Manor and Dr. Scott Houston for the care and friendship given to Leonard. Private family arrangements at this time with a Celebration at a later date. Interment Brampton Memorial Gardens.
