R Ellen Pyke 1955 2021

It is with deep and profound sadness we announce the passing
of Ellen Pyke, 66 years, of Springhill,
on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 in the Halifax Infirmary
Hospital.
Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the late David M.
and H. Marion (Reiley) Dill.
A speech pathologist, Ellen worked with all the schools in
the Cumberland area. She and her husband Barry loved to travel,
especially extended trips to Portugal. For over 30 years she loved
time at her cottage with family and friends. She enjoyed time in the
garden. A very active person, she looked forward to her book club, or
her once a month meals with friends.
Ellen will be forever missed by her husband Barry, their
sons, Daniel (Arlene), Ian (Kerri), and Andrew (Jaimee), all of
Springhill; 5 grandchildren, Mason, Riley, Lucas, Ivy and Lyla;
sisters, Sharron Pashkoski, Elmsdale, and Jane Black (Tom),
Halifax.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of A H Brown
Funeral Home, Springhill, (902 597 2361) where visitation will be held
on Friday, October 22, 2021 from noon until 2 pm, followed immediately
by her funeral at 2 pm, Major Max Snow officiating Burial will take
place in the Hillside Cemetery, Springhill, NS.
As per government regulations, proof of double
vaccination will be required to attend visitation or her
service.
Donations in memory of Ellen may be made to the Heart and
Stroke, or the Diabetes Association.
