Peacefully at home, in her 73rd year. Beloved wife of James for 47 years. Cherished mother of Alain (Bernadette Bezeau). Predeceased by her daughter, Stephanie Smith (Gary) in 2014. Dear sister of Carol (Maurice Lepage), Francine Quimper (Andre Gagnon), Christine (Pierre Roy), and Michel Quimper (Patricia Lindsay). Born in Noranda, Quebec, to Roland Quimper and Yvonne Desjardins-Quimper, Sylvie moved to London, Ontario, in 1978 and was a homemaker while the children were in school. In 2004, she retired from the Ministry of Education West Ontario Regional Office. Throughout her entire life, whatever task she took on, she did it well. She loved reading, gardening and traveling. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be conducted at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. Registration is required to attend.

  1. Dear Jim , Alain,and Bernie ainsi que la famille Quimper my sympathy, mes profondes sympathies. Sylvie restera toujours dans mon coeur, une belle personne, une bonne amie depuis 1970. Un coeur généreux et doux. J’aimerais vous faire un gros calin aux Quimper. Big hug Jim and Alain and Bernie. Un merci spécial a Christine et a toi Jim de l’avoir accompagner durant les derniers mois de sa vie terrestre avec autant de bonté, de dignité et d’AMOUR. Thank you Jim to be with her with LOVE until the end. I always remember our frienship and great memories of a lifetime. Merci Sylvie d’avoir fais partie de ma vie. Mon amie pour l’éternité veille sur nous.
