Peacefully at Mount Hope Long Term Care with her family by her side, on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 of London, formerly of Ilderton at the age of 84. Beloved wife of Boyce Powell for over 64 years. Cherished mom of Laura and Stuart Carne of Ilderton, and Brad and Leanne Powell of Dutton. Proud grandma of Nicole and Justin, and Ryan; Taylor, Jorden, Skylar, and Mackenzie. For the past two months, she adored her great-grandson, Lincoln. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Bea Graham of Caledonia, and Bev and Betty Powell of Strathroy. Frieda will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her father, John Forbes, her siblings and their spouses; Barb and Bill Wood, Evelyn Stenton, Wayne Graham, and Don and Mary Powell.
Frieda was a faithful and dedicated member of Beechwood Presbyterian Church, Bethel Presbyterian Church, the Women’s Canadian Club, Mission Services and Ilderton Scouting. When she wasn’t volunteering her time, she was doting over her precious family, especially her grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, LUCAN on Sunday afternoon from 2 – 4 PM, where the funeral service will be held on Monday, November 29th at 11 AM. Interment Ivan Cemetery.
