DiMario, Pio
July 12, 1936 – July 5, 2021
Passed away peacefully, at home as he wished with his wife and daughter by his side.
Cherished husband and best friend to his adoring wife Luisa DiMario (nee Carlesimo) for 61 years.
Devoted father to the late Mauro (2019) and Debra DiMario and Antonietta and Jeff Lachance.
Loving and proud nonno to Kyle, Sofia, Luke and Sabrina.
Predeceased by his brother Francesco and sister Mirella and is survived by his sister Antonietta.
Dear brother-in-law to Marcella and the late Pietro Nardone, Bruno Carlesimo and Ivana Talerico, and Sam and Cindy Carlesimo.
Pio will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He immigrated from Sezze Italy in 1965 with his wife and son to build a better life for his family.
Pio was the owner of DiMario Miele Construction for many years. He built many homes and businesses in the Windsor Es area.
He was a member of the Ciociaro Club and a 50+ year member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers.
He was an avid soccer fan and gardener. He always insisted on planting enough to share with his family and friends.
His strength, determination and loving nature will always be remembered.
As per Pio’s request, cremation has taken place. Visitation at WINDOSR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234 on Friday, July 9, 2021 from 9:00am until 10:30am then to Ste. Anne Parish for a Funeral Mass beginning at 11am. Reservations and masks are required to attend the Funeral Mass. Please call Windsor Chapel between the hours of 8:30AM – 4:00PM to make a reservation. If so desired, donation sin memory of Pio may be made to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada or the Hospice of Windsor-Es County.
