Phyllis Isabell Hanson Malm Tuesday July 6th 2021

Phyllis Isabell (Malm) Hanson passed away peacefully on July 6, 2021 surrounded by her family. Phyllis was born February 24,1948 in Kinistino Saskatchewan.
Phyllis attended Viking School then attended School in Kinistino. Later, she cooked in restaurants.
On June 1, 1968 she married Lawrence Wayne Hanson from Birch Hills, Saskatchewan. They then moved to Thompson, Manitoba. They returned to Saskatchewan and settled in Birch Hills and had 3 wonderful children: Tracie, Clayton, and Jylene.
Wayne and Phyllis parted ways and Phyllis worked at the Jubilee Lodge in Kinistino in 70’s. She then went into Homecare and also was a pre-school teacher. She was involved in Girl Guides & Brownies, and she was very active in the community.
Phyllis and her family moved to Melfort in 1985. This is when Phyllis started being a foster parent, opening her home to so many. She made a home for them and treated them like her own becoming a mom to so many. The foster children that came into her home still keep in contact with her, and they say they wouldn’t be where they are today if it wasn’t for her love, compassion, and wisdom that she shared. She continued being a foster parent and also became a billet for the Melfort Mustang and Kinistino Junior Tigers.
She was very involved with her church, the Northeast Christian Fellowship in Melfort. She was part of the beginnings of Kids of The Kingdom.
Phyllis had a heart of gold and a loving soul. She had a love for God and was a prayer warrior. She had a love like no other. She was very loving, caring, compassionate, loyal, sincere, supportive, and it was all unconditional. She was a very wise lady who strongly believed do unto others as you would want them to do unto you.
Phyllis had an unconditional love for her children, grandchildren, her great grandson, nephews, and nieces families and friends that brought so much joy into her life.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter Tracie (Hanson) James, Cody (Tessa) Hanson, Sven Hanson, Karsyn (Jordan) Dudgeon, Jylene (Tyrel) Newberry, Tyren , Dawson, Sydney, Conner Newberry, Grandson Andrew Jackson, her sisters, Cecile (Raymond) Tatlow, Sharon (Bob) Doerksen, many nephews and nieces and cousins.
