Peter Wyllie
1939 – 2021
Mr. Peter John Wyllie, beloved husband of Pat Wyllie, passed away at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Monday, July 12, 2021, at the age of 81 years. Along with Pat, Peter will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Peta; grandchildren, Steven, Matthew, Jera, Sarah, Hudson and Paige; sisters, Margaret, Elaine and Diane as well as nieces, Eileen, Shelley and Karen. He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Marion. Peter was born in Thorsby, AB., on July 21, 1939, and was raised in Leduc. This is where he met the love of his life, Patricia Nolan and they were married on November 19, 1960, in Red Deer. Peter was a teacher for many years before becoming a principle. He loved his chosen profession and was fond of the memories he made with his fellow teachers and students over the years creating a healthy school environment everywhere he went. After Peter retired, his interests included farming, sailing and watching hockey. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge. One of Peter’s most memorable occasions was sailing around the world. He will be deeply missed! As per Peter’s request, his life will be silently remembered by family and friends without the proceedings of a formal service.
