Hospedales, Peter Pelham passed away peacefully at home on July 15th, 2021. He was the husband to Cintra and the father of Christian (Deceased), Gabrielle (Tyrell), Justin (Sareekha), Christopher, Peter (Gemma), Vanessa, Jose (Staci), Andre, Nicola (Sam). Brother of Gloria Coelho (William deceased). Grand Father of Demetrius, Anastasia, Christian, Nicholas, Liam, Conall, Oladotun, Olajide, Oladele, Jeffery, Stephanie, Reena, Marissa, Christian, Joshua, Enzo. Brother-In-Law of William (Deceased), Sheva (Jim), Indra (Glen deceased), Mitra (Amanda), Robin.
Peter lived an incredible life and had many unbelievable adventures. From his relationships with world leaders such as Dr. Eric Williams (Trinidad), Indira Ghandi (India), General Yakubu (Jack) Gowon (Nigeria), and Fela Kuti (Nigeria) to name a few. He represented Nigeria as their head of sport at the 72’ Munich Olympics and was personally invited to mass with Pope John Paul II. Aside from the relationships he fostered, Peter played an integral role in the development of the Tatil building in Port of Spain, Trinidad. He was also one of the leaders in the continued growth of the Insurance industry across the Caribbean Islands.
Peter was a devout Catholic who took pride in being a dedicated member of the Knights of Columbus, an active member of the Liberal Party and helped several Ontario MPs reach Parliament Hill. Peter was a philanthropist at heart and his devotion to helping others was a paramount aspect of his life in his later years. One thing is sure he truly lived a full and vibrant life and will surely be missed by many.
