Obituary
It is with sadness the family of Percy Praught announce his passing which occurred at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Monday August 30th, 2021 with his loving wife at his side. Percy was born in Grand River, Prince Edward Island on February 12th, 1927; he was the son of the late Raymond and Annie (McNeil) Praught.
Percy worked for CNR for over 40 years; retiring in 1985.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Doreen (Lang) Praught; children Dale (Tina) of Bashaw, Alberta and Louise of British Columbia; 7 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and friends.
Along with his parents Percy was predeceased by his daughter Leverne and siblings Edmonde, Lorne, Joseph, Margarite, Bernice and Loretta.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) Private family service will be held at Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church in Grand River PEI. Interment to follow at Saint Patrick’s Cemetery. Donations in Percy’s memory can be made to SPCA or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
