EWINGTON, Penny Mary (née Spencer) –
January 22, 1937 – November 11, 2021
It is with profound sadness that the family of Penny Ewington announces her peaceful passing on November 11, 2021 at her home in Whitby at the age of 84 surrounded by her beloved family. Penny is predeceased by her loving husband of 50 years, Gordon Ewington Sr. (d. 2008). She was the loving mother of Gord Jr. and Lesley. Cherished nanny to Max and Lexy. Treasured sister to Ron (Rhodda), Martin (Janice) and Paul (Lynda). Dear friend to Lina. Penny ran Sun Heating & Cooling for several years with her family and enjoyed many summers on their boat, but her favourite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren. In keeping with Penny’s wishes, no funeral services will be held. If desired, donations in her memory to the R.S. McLaughlin Durham Region Cancer Centre (via Lakeridge Health Foundation) would be appreciated and condolences may be expressed online at wctownfuneralchapel.com.
