Obituary
Pauline was born Nov 2, 1921, to John and Ludi Opitz in Gadsby AB. She Passed peacefully on October 29th in Heritage House, Stettler, Alberta at the age of 99 years.
Pauline remembered much from her childhood including helping set pins in her dads bowling alley on Main Street in Stettler.
Pauline married Jack Spiece Apr 18, 1941. Daughter Carol was born in 1946. Pauline was predeceased by Jack May 1, 1992, her daughter Carol June 23, 2010, her sister Helen 2006 and her brother Bill 2016. She was a Great Great Grandmother, and she leaves to mourn her loss granddaughters Laura and Faye, sister-in-law Marj Opitz, son in law Brian Farrar and grand son in law Gordon along with all their families.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews, Bobby (Jim) Rasmusson, Norma McColl, Cindy (David) Nelson, Tammy (Shane) Menard, the Helen Simpson family, and the Bill Opitz family.
Pauline worked for AMA in Edmonton for many years then a few with Spartan Press. While employed at Spartan she would often get her nieces Tammy & Cindy doing odd jobs she didn’t want to do. After retirement, Pauline and Jack built a new home at Rochon Sands and spent many summers there, wintering in Mesa, AZ.
