Obituary
Pauline Beaudin
(née Ross)
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Pauline Beaudin at her residence in St. Eustache, Manitoba on Tuesday December 29, 2020 at the age of 81 years.
She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband Gus; her children, Debbie (Doug) Forgie, Karen Beaudin (Carl), Rodney (Cheryl) Beaudin, Shelley (Dean) Combot and daughter-in-law Norma McKay; her grandchildren Keith (Melissa), Chelsea, Ross (Sam), Jared (Dy), Lynlea ( Tyler), Kristina (Travis), Adam, Reece and Kaitlyn; her great-grandchildren, Keinan, Beaudy, Cale, Devon, Bailey, Hartley, Atlas and Ajay; her foster-grandchildren, Julie-Anna, Adonis, Cody, Mayson and Matias. She also leaves to mourn her siblings and in-laws, Jeannine McKay, Alvina Kelsey, Jeanne McKay, George Ross, Myrna McKay, Clifford Ross, Bernadette (Bob) Tigg, Rachelle Ross, Wilma (Gerald) Maurice, Clarence (Lucille) Ross, Wayne Ross, Christine Ross, Simone Imlah, Claudette (Herb) Boyer, Phil Beaudin, Edna Beaudin and Ken (Debbie) Beaudin; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Pauline is predeceased by son Darrell Beaudin, her parents Alfred and Rose Ross; her siblings and in-laws, David McKay, Del Kelsey, Larry McKay, Linda Ross, Herbert McKay, Irene Ross, Norm Carlson, Tom (Irene) Beaudin, Venice (Robert) Trottier, Roy Imlah and Ernie (Odette) Beaudin.
One of Pauline’s most incredible gifts was her ability to build deep relationships. In their 63-year marriage, Pauline and Gus forged a life-long bond, building a tight-knit family and many special friendships. While her talents in the kitchen helped to bring people together (like her prize-winning bannock), it was her generosity of spirit that truly lit up a room.
Pauline was a gracious host, inviting to everyone, and always encouraging a good time. She would always insist you “have another” and keep the Hank Williams tunes on heavy rotation. She made time to connect with people in meaningful ways. It was amazing to see how she made each one of her grandchildren feel special, maintaining their own inside jokes and cherished memories. So much so, that some of the grandkids liked to compete to be named “her favourite.”
The gift that Pauline gave her family was to make everyone feel intricately connected and unwaveringly loved. She had great bonds with her siblings, her in-laws, her nieces, nephews, and close friends. Her spirit lives on in her great grandchildren, who knew her as Ol’ Granny. We look forward to the opportunity to celebrate her life when we can gather once again. Many thanks and much love for all of the support and kind words at this most difficult time.
