O’Connor, Paulette (née Landriault) 1947-2021
The O’Connor family announces with sorrow her death Friday February 19th 2021 at the age of 73 years. Daughter of the late Lucien and of the late Edna (née Primeau) Landriault. Beloved wife of Gary O’Connor. Much loved mother of Michel (Julie), Mélanie and Patrick (Audrey). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Catherine, Amélie, Jean-Charles, Andrée-Michelle, Noémie and Chloé. Paulette is also survived by her brother Richard Landriault (Louise) and sisters (nées Sénécal), Joanne Labelle (Denis), Christine Sénécal, Lorraine Hasner (late Rolly) and Hélène Sénécal Lalonde. Predeceased by her brother Bobby Landriault. Paulette was an outstanding health care provider having worked as a nurse and nursing director in our hospitals, at Au Chateau and in home and community care.
Paulette was an accomplished artist where some of her artwork will remain as masterpieces on walls across the Province.
The family thanks the health care providers at the West Nipissing General Hospital and the North Bay Regional Health Centre for their compassionate care. We also thank the Chaplain who enabled the family to be with Paulette virtually to accompany her with prayer. We specifically thank the nurses and the PSWs for their kind and devoted personal care while Paulette was at home until the day before her passing.
Your sympathies are appreciated and can be directed towards donations to Au Château, WNGH Foundation, Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada, Muscular Dystrophy of Canada.
Due to pandemic conditions, a celebration of her life will be announced at a later date. Arrangements in care of the Théoret Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls.
La famille O’Connor annonce avec regret son décès le vendredi, 19 février 2021 à l’âge de 73 ans. Fille de feu Lucien et de feu Edna (née Primeau) Landriault. Épouse bien-aimée de Gary O’Connor. Mère chérie de Michel (Julie), Mélanie et Patrick (Audrey). Son souvenir restera gravé dans la mémoire de ses petits-enfants Catherine, Amélie, Jean-Charles, Andrée-Michelle, Noémie et Chloé. Lui survivent également son frère Richard Landriault (Louise) et ses sœurs (nées Sénécal), Joanne Labelle (Denis), Christine Sénécal, Lorraine Hasner (feu Rolly) et Hélène Sénécal Lalonde. Prédécédée par son frère Bobby Landriault. Paulette était une infirmière sans pareil, ayant travaillée au sein de nos hôpitaux, Au Château et dans les soins à domiciles et communautaires.
Paulette était aussi une artiste prodigieuse et ses chefs-d’œuvres resteront affichés sur des murs partout dans la province.
La famille tient à remercier le personnel de l’Hôpital Général de Nipissing Ouest et du Centre Régional de Santé de North Bay pour les excellents soins prodigués. Un merci sincère à l’aumônier qui nous a aidés à accompagner Paulette virtuellement dans ses moments de prière. Nous tenons à remercier les infirmières et les PSPs pour leur compassion et dévouement à Paulette jusqu’au derniers moments.
Que vos témoignages de sympathies se traduisent en dons à Au Château, la Fondation de l’HGNO, la Fondation Canadienne du Cœur et de l’AVC, la Dystrophie musculaire Canada et la Société canadienne de la sclérose en plaque.
En raison de pandémie, une célébration de vie sera annoncée à une date ultérieure. Les arrangements funéraires sont confiés au Salon Funéraire Théoret Bourgeois, Sturgeon Falls.
