Paula LaRose Lambert August 23rd 1942 October 13th 2021

Peacefully on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Afton Park Place, LaRose passed away at the age of 79. Beloved wife of the late James Lorne Lambert. Loving mother of Robin Disper (Mike), David Lambert, and Paul Gillis. Cherished grandmother of Avery Gillis, Amelia Gillis, Robyn Leystra, Mathew Disper, Lindsi Vail (Dan), and Kristi Disper. Treasured great-grandmother of Elizabeth May, Aiden, Evan, Cole, Lyla, Ryerson, Christopher, and Sophia. Dear sister of Maureen Schramm (late Bert). Predeceased by her first husband Frank Gillis and her second husband James Lorne Lambert.
LaRose was passionate about the arts, many charities, travel, politics, current events and humanity. She supported the arts as a season ticket holder of Imperial Theatre International Symphony Orchestra (Sarnia) & CinéSarnia. She enjoyed traveling to Mexico with her husband Jim and exploring Europe with her dear friend, Joan Korpan. After graduating as a Registered Nurse from The Halifax Mission of Nursing in 1962, she found herself in community nursing in Yellowknife, NWT. Eventually, finding her way to Sarnia working as an ER nurse at Sarnia General Hospital where she spent the next 30 years. During that time, she was an active member of the Sarnia Child Abuse Committee. After retiring, she dedicated herself to assisting countless injured workers at the Occupational Health Clinic for Ontario Workers.
Our deepest gratitude goes to the Bluewater Health Dialysis Team whose compassion, kindness and extraordinary care of LaRose’s health, allowed her to enjoy many more years with her family and friends. Special thanks must also go to the Front-Line Staff at Afton Park Place. They provided her with caring and comfort at a time when worldly events, outside the Afton walls, made health care a hazardous and difficult environment. We are grateful and appreciative to both these groups who delivered her care.
Cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will take place at a later date. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or Breast Cancer Society of Canada (cheques mailed to the funeral home or made online, please).

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Paula LaRose Lambert August 23rd 1942 October 13th 2021..
