It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dear dad and pop Patrick Slaney (Pad) of St. Lawrence, on May 6, 2021, at age 89. He was pre-deceased by his wife Isabel (nee Fitzpatrick) in 2005. Left to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories his seven children, Sheri (Loyola), Brian (Blanche), Larry (Karen), Laurene (Gord), Jackie (Mike), Jeanine (Glenn), Paula (Don); 15 grandchildren, Chris (Sheena), Dawn (Tyler), Lila, Trevor (Joanne), Larry Jr. (Tanya), Francine (Logan), Patric (Cassidy), Lynette (Ryan), Megan, Ashley (Matt), Stephen (Krystal), Todd (Nicole), Melissa (Adam), Rebecca (Josh), Gillian (John); 16 great-grandchildren, Hannah, Lane, Julianne, Jennilee, Tyler, Madison, Roman, Sydney, Aedan, Rylan, Danny, Hailey, Corey, Olivia, Jacob and expected baby boy Dean; special sister-in-law Mary Slaney and a large circle of other relatives and friends.
Patrick was a proud Laurentian, fun-loving and kind man. He dearly loved a game of crib, especially when he skunked you. He was a grand story-teller and loved telling them over a rum and coke. He treasured his family and never missed an opportunity to tell them he loved them. He is now re-united with the love of his life for eternity.
